Anna Paquin

Anna Paquin (born Winnipeg, born in Wellington,) is the name of a Canadian actress from Canada. She was born in Winnipeg and born in Wellington Paquin began her acting debut in the role of Flora McGrath in the romantic drama film The Piano for which she received the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress aged 11 years old, which makes her the second youngest winner in Oscar history. When she responded to a request to auditions open when she was nine, and with little previous experience in acting when she was selected for the role of Flora McGrath part. Flora is the child of the Scottish musician who was blind. They relocated to New Zealand during the middle of the nineteenth century in an effort to plan a wedding. At the age of a teen the family relocated from Canada and eventually to United States. Paquin had the role of lead in Fly Away Home in 1996 and also had a small part as Jane Eyre in the film when she was just a young child. Paquin played Frankie Addams, a character from Carson McCullers' novel The Member of the Wedding in 1997. In Steven Spielberg's Amistad in 1997, she played the queen of Spain in a lesser part. She portrayed teens as teens in Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (1998), A Walk on the Moon (1998) and Almost Famous (2000). She also portrayed the groupie Polexia Aphrodisa.
