Frankie had suffered from her own illness called Polio. As a teenager, she experienced a difficult relationship with her mom. She was the sole female who made it to the 1989 contest Miller Lite Comedy Search. She began her TV career in 1992 after she appeared as a frequent performer in the HBO comedy program Def Comedy Jam. The host was on TV in the year 2000 on Oh Drama! In 2011, she began participating as a co-host on The Talk as co-host. She's also appeared in fictional programs like Bulworth Niki as well as Beauty Shop.
